A few years ago I got lyrics on my arm that I had wanted since I was 18. I went to a friend, who was an apprentice at a local tattoo shop, and was assured over and over that he was “more than ready”. It turned out … horribly. I kept it though, because I loved the lyrics so much. But it got to the point where I was embarrassed by it. So off I went to look into getting it fixed.
Because it was so crooked, no matter what my tattoo artist did, it would’ve looked ridiculous. So I decided to just cover it up. I have always loved plumerias and wanted a tattoo of them anyway, so it was a win-win situation.
I can still see a hint of the lyrics, which I’m okay with. I have an appointment on the 23rd to get the purple touched up, and while I could have a little more done to it to cover the preexisting text, I don’t think I will. I am more than in love with this tattoo, and I couldn’t be happier.
By the way, this is the inside of my forearm. The left of the picture is near the crease of my elbow, the right is my wrist.
Done by the lovely Erin at Eye of the Lotus in Edmonton, Alberta.
